Copy-text — «حافظ» غزل ۱۳۰, «سحر بلبل حکایت با صبا کرد»

Witness: Ganjoor, Qazvini–Ghani text of the Divan of Hafez, https://api.ganjoor.net/api/ganjoor/poem?url=/hafez/ghazal/sh130, fetched 2026-08-31; the raw response is at runs/RS-20260831b-radif-hands/raw/ganjoor_sh130.json. Public domain (Hafez, d. c. 1390).

No second witness was collated. Ganjoor exposes one text and no free second Persian witness of the Divan was reachable; this is a stated limit, not a collation. The same limit was stated for S-hafez-ghazals-radif on 2026-08-29 and nothing has changed it.

The numbering is Ganjoor's hemistich order: odd = first hemistich, even = second. Rhyming positions are hemistich 1 and every even hemistich — eleven of them. Radif کرد; qāfiya in -ا.

The eleven rhyming positions and the qāfiya's relation to the radif verb

Read off the Persian before any English was written, and frozen here because the whole point of the unit is that this is knowable from the source alone. کرد is the third-person past of کردن, which is both the ordinary verb to do and the light verb of hundreds of Persian compounds.

# hemistich qāfiya its relation to کرد
1 v1 صبا object of the preposition با — not an argument of کرد
2 v2 چه‌ها direct object of کرد
3 v4 مبتلا predicative complement in the compound مبتلا کردن, to afflict
4 v6 ریا object of the preposition بی — not an argument of کرد
5 v8 آشنا subject of کرد
6 v10 جفا nominal of the light-verb compound جفا کردن, to be unfaithful
7 v12 دوا nominal of the light-verb compound دوا کردن, to cure
8 v14 وا preverb of وا کردن, to open
9 v16 صبا subject (in باد صبا)
10 v18 ریا attributive inside زهد ریا, itself object of از — not an argument
11 v20 بوالوفا subject (the last element of a patron's title)

Four of the eleven qāfiyas are the object or complement of the radif verb (positions 2, 3, 6, 7); one is a preverb inside it (position 8); three are its subject (5, 9, 11); three stand in an oblique relation to something else (1, 4, 10). The Persian also reuses two rhyme words — صبا at positions 1 and 9, ریا at positions 4 and 10 — which the form permits.
