〈風波〉 — contamination, measured

Run after the translation and its log were written and before E-20260811b-realia-channel's design existed, which is the order CLAUDE.md §Contamination requires of the measurement relative to the design. The ordering deviation is declared: CLAUDE.md asks for the measurement before anything is translated, and it cannot be met when the lead is the translator and the measurement needs the lead's text — the same deviation workshop/translations/kongyiji/contamination.md records. The comparator was fetched before translating, to a scratch directory, and was never opened.

Comparator

Logged in wiki/base/consulted.md. The comparator was not read. The only part of it the lead has seen is the 26-token run below, printed by the tool as its own output.

The numbers

The fifteen twelve-grams are fifteen overlapping windows of one run, not fifteen independent matches; units_with_n12 is 1. The run is:

you know how it was in the time of the long hairs keep your hair and lose your head keep your head and lose your hair

— 「你們知道：長毛時候，留髮不留頭，留頭不留髮」, a chiastic slogan whose English word order is close to forced once 長毛 is Long Hairs.

The other nineteen maximal shared runs are 7–9 tokens, and what they are is the point:

after the revolution he had coiled his queue · a speckled bamboo pipe over six feet long · the names of the five tiger generals · of his head like a taoist priest and · each generation is worse than the last (five times — the refrain, rendered identically by both hands) · there was a buzzing in their ears and they · had just finished a big bowl of rice and · her chopsticks at the tip of his nose

Declaration: suspected, and why not none and not high

Against none: 26 contiguous tokens is the longest run this project has ever measured between the lead and a published human translation, above S079's 24, and 53 shared 7-grams is nine times what 〈孔乙己〉 returned on the same tool against the same translators.

Against high: with any n-gram containing a capitalised name token excluded, the counts fall to 5 shared 7-grams and 0 twelve-grams — at the ordinary independent-pair baseline. Every long run is either a slogan with a forced word order or a realia term with a conventional English equivalent (queue, Long Hairs, Taoist priest, Five Tiger Generals, speckled bamboo pipe). Two independent hands rendering 辮子 will both write queue because that is the English word for the thing.

What cannot be separated here, and is not claimed either way: convergence forced by conventional equivalents against recall of this particular published rendering. That is the question RS-20260728b-forced-run-ru and note (bez) studied, and the measurement programme on it is closed (S082 refocus). No figure published by this session depends on which it is.

What this does and does not do to E-20260811b-realia-channel

It does not bias the primary. Every manipulation in that design is within passage: the four forms of the lead's passage differ from each other only in the realia substitutions and the orthographic span. Anything the lead recalled from YANG is present in all four forms equally, so it is a constant and can neither manufacture nor conceal a W or P effect. The same argument covers judge recognition of the text.

It does bar one thing, and the bar is written into the design (G5): the lead's passage may not be treated as an eighth independent hand. It is reported as X1 throughout, never pooled with the seven published passages in any figure, and no claim of the form an independent translator's choices produce… rests on it.
