Site census — 蒲松齡〈促織〉, frozen before translation
Frozen at this commit, before a word of the translation was written. Forty sites in the
source, each with the label the lead's own reading says the site calls for, under the five-option
vocabulary of E-20260728f verbatim:
style-correspondence— a marked formal feature of the source's expressioncultural-mediation— a thing in the source's social world (realia, allusion, measure words, names, terms of address, titles and ranks)both— the marked element belongs under both senses as a whole and cannot be splitcomposite— the marked element separates into more than one part, and the parts belong under different sensesneither
These declarations are internal-judgment-only and are NOT the measure. The control asks
whether composite fires at all, not whether raters agree with the lead. The census exists so
that the item set is demonstrably built to contain composite candidates rather than asserted to
be — and so that the site list is blind to the rendering, which does not yet exist.
Distribution declared in advance: 12 composite, 13 cultural-mediation, 10
style-correspondence, 2 both, 3 neither. Composite candidates are 30% of the set, which
is high by construction and is the point; the other 70% is not filler in the decorative sense but
the part of the set that makes a composite count interpretable.

census and the count is 43 — 12 composite, 15 cultural-mediation, 11
style-correspondence, 2 both, 3 neither. Left visible rather than silently corrected,
because the frozen artifact is the table and not the summary sentence above it.
