Perturbation log — E-20260726d-tierD-heldout
Generated by build.py; do not hand-edit. Every row is one edit site actually applied to a reference text to produce the second text of an item. The build fails loudly if a before string is absent from the reference or occurs more than once, and the verifier reconstructs each variant from the reference plus these rows and asserts byte equality — so an edit present in a variant but missing from this table is caught (§9, §11).
Logged before dispatch, as NEXT.md required.
A site is one lexical or structural decision. Sites are numbered in textual order; the light dose is sites {2, 5, 7}, pre-registered in the frozen design before any edit existed (§5). Newlines inside an edit are escaped as \n.

O4 sites (targeted arms)
Failure types, from the project's own catalogue of accuracy failure in published translations (§4): WR wrong referent · WS wrong word sense · ID invented detail · DN dropped negation. The composition constraint is at least two of each per 8-site set, which with 8 sites and 4 types forces exactly two of each.
